Location: Nechells
Strategic Investment Plan: Enterprising Communities
ebns funding contributed to the mezzanine floor of the building which is where the training and enterprise services are delivered.
The building has become a focal point and communication centre for residents of Nechells, notably for disadvantaged people, and helps to improve their quality of life through education, core and vocational skills development, especially for those wishing to enter the labour market. This has been achieved by creating a continuous mix of use so that the building maintains its attraction and sustains its services to the community.
The positive outcomes of this are:
- Improved levels of entrepreneurship, particularly amongst women
- Reduction in skills shortages and skills gap experienced by businesses
- Increased number of social enterprises through supply chain development
