Strategic Investment Plan: North Solihull, Jobs, Enterprise and Skills

Achieved via the provision of 270 full day care places at six new 'Neighbourhood Nurseries', these new facilities are part of a National Childcare Strategy targeted at the most disadvantaged communities.

The positive outcomes of this are:

• Reduction in the relative and absolute levels of unemployment and worklessness in the Zone
• Improved household incomes
• Reduced numbers without qualifications (25+)
• Improved co-ordination and alignment of regeneration activity
